ZigBee – upcoming wireless technology

ZigBee is low cost low power network which works on high level communication protocol. This technology is similar to Bluetooth but it supports only short distance communication within one meter. Network looks much simpler and very less expensive compared to other communication network. This technology is less popular since it is being used only for industrial purpose and not for commercial purpose. High security and less power consumption are the two advantages for using this network. The disadvantage is that it’s used only for short distance communication. It is an unbelievable fact that life time of the batteries used for these network is extremely high that it can stay for more than ten years without replacement or recharge. This technology is being used in various embedded system supplication and it has its footsteps on some of the household equipments. Develop this new technology and benefit out of it.
