Spyware

Spyware is the software that enables the advertiser to gather information about the user personal system. These cannot spread like virus to the other computers. But they have undesirable effects. When certain websites are visited a pop - up appears to download some utility software or it may download itself. Then it runs on the system tracking the activity of the user. It reports the activity to the others. It can also change the home page of the browser. In some cases the dial – up dials to the premium numbers by itself. It also uses the memory and processing capacity. The system performance is greatly affected. The system might become slow or even clash. Software’s are available to detect the spyware programs and enable to remove them. These are called anti-spyware. The spyware is available as a separate application too and also with the internet security package.
